Silent Layers is a residential interior design project completed in 2023 for a private client in a high-rise apartment situated in the heart of a modern city. The brief was clear yet demanding — to create a living environment that feels simultaneously open and intimate, modern yet warm, refined yet effortless.
The design responds to this challenge through the concept of “layered minimalism.” Rather than stripping the space to bare essentials, the studio built depth through carefully selected materials, textures, and tones — all within a strictly controlled neutral palette of warm white, sand, and charcoal. The open-plan living and dining area features a custom floating shelf system in natural linen-finished oak, which serves both as a spatial divider and a display surface. The kitchen is defined by honed Calacatta marble countertops and matte black hardware, creating a quiet luxury without visual noise.
Lighting was treated as an architectural element — indirect cove lighting throughout the ceiling combined with selected pendant fixtures create a layered atmosphere that shifts gracefully from daytime clarity to evening warmth.Custom furniture was designed and sourced exclusively for this project, ensuring that every piece contributes to the overall harmony. Textiles, cushions, and art objects were curated to add human scale and emotional resonance to the precision of the architecture.
Silent Layers represents the studio’s belief that interior design, at its best, is invisible — it simply feels right.
